Tomorrow’s schedule is Ojai. I can’t wait to cruise up there and visit the farmers market, the peaceful Meditation Mount and finally a pizza and music night at Farmer and Cook. We are going there to shoot for the cookbook… so exciting!
We went over to Superba Food + Bread yesterday for a snack and we had our mind set on their fantastic grain bowls but they didn’t serve it for dinner, bummer! So we went for a couple of sides instead. A couple of delicious sides. Burrata with red pepper paste on homebaked bread, broccolini with a 360 degree egg and some thick asparaus with sunflower seeds and shaved parmesan. This place is great!
The heatwave seems to be a never ending story… a story a really like though. Endless heatwave nights spent in the most cozy backyard in Venice seems like a perfect way to end this fast speed sunday. At Axe you only get produce picked from a local organic farm. Braised kale and chard for example.
Really good to have my friend Paul in town and to get to see Sarah who i haven’t seen in a year. We celebrated with the ice cream truck who has the best vegan ice creams in town, always parker here on Abbot Kinney. Don’t miss out.
