The summer has come to an end

A beautiful summer has come to an end and i can feel it in the air a little bit.  When we went up to Summerland and Santa Barbara two weekends ago, the heat was almost unbearable, we could hardly breathe up in the mountains. Now it’s way cooler and mornings and evenings are like normal again. Cali normal, which means is still like a Swedish summer. I’m not saying no to that.

My two favorites. 🙂 Summerland beach is small and Montecito-nice, with soft sand and a nice view over Channel Islands.

Our plan is to live in SB in a few years with a pitstop in Malibu, just to have easy access to the outdoors a little more. And we like smaller communities too with minimal time spent in the car. I like that idea.

Another gem in Santa Barbara

I love the smell of eucalyptus trees and Santa Barbara is a great place to inhale.  Last sunday we did a sunset hike along the bluffs  above Hendry’s beach called Douglas Family Presrve. This park is so beautiful and serene, a place for the locals to bring their dogs and to get a fresh ocean breeze. When we live up here (a few years from now ) I will do my morning runs right here,  for sure. This is a pretty short hike but if you combine it with a run down at the beach you’ll get a pretty good workout.  Santa Barbara, I can’t get enough of you.  IMG_7086 IMG_7080 IMG_7088IMG_7099

Lots of fallen trees.

Reflections!

The sunset in Santa Barbara was not too shabby yesterday. And add 80 degrees on top of that… at 7 pm. Santa Barbara IS the prettiest town along the coast. I swear! I have to get up there often to get my fix. If you ever go there, you will understand why.

We threw the cutie pie in the Fido Wash after the beach.

She doesn’t love it… at all.
