Mary’s country cafe, organic and local. I like!

I grew up in a tiny village in Sweden, surrounded by fields, farmhouses and old barns, very charming. I can see a big change from when I was a kid… there wasn’t so much to do or places to go back then. Most of these places was empty and run down. Now, there is pop-up cafes and restaurants, glass bars, small farmers markets and things, a little all over the place, all summer long.  All these old farm houses and barns has so much life today and charm. I love it.

Throw it on the pizza!

I digged a little and found a garlic in dads garden,  and mom made a really good pizza sauce with tomatoes that we picked up from a tomato farm around here. Organic and super tasty.

Tons of tomatoes in the greenhouse. Delicious! They taste better newly picked, keep in mind.

We threw the sauce over a cauliflower crust and topped with tons of veggies. Yum!

Farmhouse with veggies

We went out to this farm yesterday to pick up some fresh produce. Such a cute place. All these crispy and delicious veggies are all local produced and a huge different from what you get at the grocery stores around here. I like to shop this way much more. This is out on a strawberry farm, unfortunately their strawberry season just ended…but they had a bunch of other great stuff.

Tiny blueberries… packed with antioxidant, cus they are blue on the inside as well. I’m not so used to that from blueberries from Cali.

Rhubarb Nectar with no sugar added. Thanks, i’ll try one.

I want my own red barn… in Santa Barbara… with some food and fresh veggies… some day!
