I’v been craving vegetables all summer so far.  I love picking up some fresh, organic veggies at the farmers market and throw them on the BBQ for dinner. Zucchini, squash, onions, red cabbage, heirloom tomatoes, garlic, green beans, snap peas… whatever looks crispy and delicious I throw on there and squeeze some lemon on top together with some fresh rosemary. I serve it with some sort of hummus, It’s pretty good.

 Well, not really but I’m putting together a North Shore guide for you at the moment and when I see all the pictures again I get so sentimental, wanna turn back the clock be there right now. North Shore is so spiritual and magical. It’s one of those places I’m gonna return to throughout my whole life. It’s incredible beautiful and chill and it’s all about the surf and the Aloha lifestyle.  Anyway, If you drive around the Island you will bump into this tropical farm – Kahuku Land Farms at some point.  It’s so country and cute run by happy hawaiians. They offer all kinds of tropicals flavors and will crack open any coconuts for you and let you taste everything colorful you see. Oahu and North Shore guide is coming up! 🙂 Enjoy your sunday! Aloha!

We can’t have too many farmers markets around, can we? Here is another great one and you can’t go wrong with mountains as backdrop either. It feels good to know that everything the vendors sell here is grown just around the corner. Lots of organic, all vibrant, crispy and pretty produce. I picked up some wildflowers, fresh veggies and tomatoes. How do I know that this is true organic produce? I don’t, that’s why I’m being a little annoying and are asking questions to the farmer himself, just to make sure. I will make a post about that. How to tell if something really IS organic and what it takes to be a certified organic farmer.

Vi kan absolut inte ha för många bondens marknader, eller hur? Den här är fantastisk. Nästan allt är ekologiskt och odlat alldeles runt hörnet. Det är det som är charmen med just Ojai – att det är ett enda stort farmland. Jag fick med mig lite färska grönsaker, rosa tomater samt lite annat smått och gott. Så härligt. Jag älskar farmers markets… MEN, vill man vara säker på att det är ekologiskt man får med sig hem så gäller det att vara lite nyfiken och ställa frågor till bonden själv. Jag kommer att göra ett annat inlägg om det. Men låt oss njuta av detta först.
