Quality time, California style!

My lovely boyfriend keeps sending me pictures of hikes and sunset beach runs and stuff. I think he wants me to come back 🙂  It makes me miss California a lot this morning. When I do get back, the warmest month will begin. September is absolutely delicious and october is so crispy. I have tons of plans for this fall. If Justin get what he wants, we’re roadtrippin down to Scorpion bay in Mexico for some surf and tacos. I love roadtrips, tacos and surf. My other plan is to be busy working and squeeze in some quality time together with my two favorites.

Scenic sunday

Woke up early and hit the trail. We usually go to Topanga Canyon when we don’t have hours to spend hiking. It’s a little closer and and this is also pretty short hike, perfect to get back in time for other things. Like soccer for example. Justin introduced me to this rock when we just met years ago and has been a favorite ever since. It’s stunning up at that rock. We start the hike from Cheeney Dr instead from the state park which is a little more scenic, we think!

Diptic

Caves, rocks and endless beauty and only one other person there. How is that possible?

After that we stopped by Waterlily Cafe “downtown” Topanga for some home-brewed kombucha. Now? In the hammock typing this. Happy Sunday!

Hike with me…

A short but a lovely hike above Malibu Seafood. They share the same parking lot and this loop is not too crowded at all.  The views are pretty awesome as well.

My man, the cutest outdoorsman I know.

See that sandy flats down there? That’s Malibu’s trailer park.  Maybe we will check in there for a weekend and wake up to the best view in town one of these days. The good thing is that you can walk down to Malibu Seafood and get a fresh caught fish and hit this trail from there too. And then sleep in the hammock under the stars… with all spiders and bugs. I think I’ll stay in the tent. 🙂
