Pizzatime!

What a beautiful day. I think It’s a pizza in the hammock kind of day.  I had a dough laying around and some yummy pizza sauce as well. The recipe for this dough and sauce comes from Farmer and cook, a recipe they will share in my next book Superhälsa. I had to test drive the recipe and happened to have a peace left, bingo! Pizza sunday!

Normally, I don’t make my own crust. I walk down to Whole Foods for one of their gluten free crusts which I really like. This is the real deal though, and It’s good. I topped it with todays farmers market finds,  asparagus, kale, red onions, garlic and cracked an egg on top. I love kale and eggs on pizzas. And then some ricotta cheese. My go to cheese for pizza is an asiago parmesan blend. But ricotta was what the fridge offered today. And it worked great.

Kelp noodles

This is a dish I’ve been craving lately. Kelp noodles from Cafe Gratitude, one of their better dishes. It has so much flavor. How does this sound to you?Marinated kelp noodles, thai almond sauce, carrots, red bell pepper, shredded kale, chopped teriyaki almonds and sunflower sprouts. What should we know about kelp noodles? They are popular for people who loves Raw Food. It is gluten free. It contains iodine which is a trace mineral which plays a key role in metabolism and thyroid function. What else? It’s a brown seaweed and it contains over 70 minerals. It’s a great substitute for pasta and maybe it makes you wanna try this dish next time you visit Cafe Gratitude.
