I’m completely obsessed with oils now or I have been for a very long time, but now I have also started to use more oils for the face. And of course also pure cold pressed oils have become a trend so this post is very fitting. A Smart Guide for oils!

Right now I use two brands Marina Miracles & Loelles new series of Barbary fig seed oil. Since I began experimenting with oils my skin has improved so much and I’m never dry either on the body or face. Oils along with a little dash of face mist encapsulates moisture very well.

A vegetable oil consists mainly of fatty acids and it is the composition of fatty acids which give the oil its properties. The fatty acids are grouped as either saturated, monounsaturated or polyunsaturated. In these groups there are various fatty acids such as palmitoleic acid, oleic acid, linolenic acid, etc. Glycerin, vitamins and plant compounds such as phytosterols are other components of an oil, which are important & gives good skin care properties.
One myth about oil is that it makes the skin more oily and therefore provide more pimples. You encapsulates moisture with oils and give the skin well nourishment.
Read more about the oils I use and why!

Olive oil – consists largely of fatty acid omega 9. Works great as a cooking oil, drinking internally or on the skin.
Castor oil – Thicker & more migrating oil, which protects the skin & gives it a great barrier. It is said that castor oil is used as a hair growth stimulant oil.
Jojoba – lovely light oil that binds moisture in the skin in a good way. Suitable for all skin types and perfect for use as aftersun.
Coconut oil – a solid oil which becomes liquid at 25 degrees. Antibacterial & deodorizing for the skin. Softens, moisturizes and absorbs quickly. Useful satiating fatty acids.

This is just one little line in many oils available, but I only choose to write about some off them. I love oils & i can recommend everyone to try an oil as a base for your skin and under your makeup. Love Maya
