I torsdag förra veckan färgade Sara håret på mig med örtfärg från Cultivators (nyans Mahogny), som är vegansk och ekologisk. Resultatet blev över min förväntan. Vanligtvis brukar jag gå till frisören och färga håret men med en annan typ av örtfärg. Jag blir alltid nöjd, men denna gången ville jag prova att färga hemma och se ifall resultatet skulle bli lika bra. Då jag har ganska mycket hår och det lätt kan bli ett projekt, struntar jag oftast i att göra det, men denna typ av örtfärg var otroligt enkelt och lätt att jobba med. Jag ville ha en aningen vinrödare hår och resultatet blev exakt som jag ville. Se före och efter bilder nedan!

Att färga håret med örtfärg tar lite längre tid än att färga med “vanlig” hårfärg, då Cultivators örtfärg är helt ren och fri från syntetiska ämnen.

• Steg ett när man använder Cultivators örtfärg är att man får 4 påsar med färg och det är för att man kan välja hur mycket man vill använda istället för att öppna hela påsen. Ett hår som är lika tjockt och långt som mitt kräver 2 förpackningar och alla påsar.
• Steg två är att blanda färgen med ljummet vatten och direkt när färgen blandats ihop applicera på håret. Håret ska vara rent och fritt från styling!
• Steg tre där får du en “hetta” i förpackningen precis som när du köper “vanlig” hårfärg och den täcker du allt hår med. Sara satte även på mig en handuk för att verkligen kapsla in håret och låta färgen verka.
• Steg fyra är nu verkningstiden som är en aningen längre än “vanlig” syntetsik färg. Beroende på vilken effekt du vill ha avgör hur lång verkningstid du behöver. Cultivators rekommenderar 60-90 min, men jag var väldigt trött på kvällen och ville sova så lät färgen endast sitta i 45 min. Resultatet blev ändå mycket bra och färgen fortsatte att förbättras dag två, vilket jag är super glad över.

Cultivators hårfärg har givit mig precis samma resultat av färgat hår som om jag skulle gå till en konventionell frisör. Jag är otroligt nöjd och kommer aldrig mera att färga håret syntetiskt, då det skadar håret och miljön enormt. Cultivators örtfärg finns i 20 olika nyanser och det går att få fram nästan alla färger förutom att blondera. Dock kan du färga håret blont om du redan har blont hår. Det man ska vara uppmärksam på när man färgar håret med Cultivators är att man verkligen ser till att håret är rent samt provar på en liten slinga första gången man färgar för att verkligen se vilken nyans man får. Egentligen ingen skillnad från vanlig konventionell hårfärg du köper i affären. Fast Cultivators är mycket, mycket mera skonsam och inte alls skadlig. Lycka till med håret. Jag blev supernöjd!

On Thursday last week, Sara colored my hair with herbal color from Cultivators and the result was beyond my expectation. Usually, I go to the hairdresser and color my hair but with another type of herbal color. I’m always happy, but this time I wanted to try to dye it at home and see if the result would be as good as at the hairdressers. It was! Since I have quite a lot of hair and it can easily become a project, I usually do not want to do it, but Cultivators herbal color was incredibly easy to work with. I wanted a little more wine red hair and the result became exactly as I wanted. See before and after pictures below!

Coloring the hair with herbal color takes a little longer than coloring with “regular” hair color, as Cultivator’s herbal color is completely pure and free from synthetic substances.

• Step one when using Cultivator’s herbal color is that you get 4 bags of color and that’s because you can choose how much you want to use instead of opening the entire package. A hair that is as thick and long as mine requires 2 packs and all bags.
• Step two is to mix the color with lukewarm water and immediately when the color blends together apply it to the hair. The hair should be clean and free from styling!
• Step three is where you put on the cap you get in the packaging just like when you buy “plain” hair color and you cover all your hair. Sara also put a towel to really inclose your hair and let the color work.
• Step four is the coloring time which is slightly longer than a “regular” synthetic color. Depending on the effect you want is determined by the amount of time you need. Cultivators recommend 60-90 min, but I was tired that evening and wanted to sleep so I let the color only sit for 45 min. The result was still very good and the color continued to improve day two, which I am very happy about.

Cultivator’s hair color has just given me the same result of colored hair as if I were going to a conventional hairdresser. I am incredibly pleased and will never color my hair synthetically since it will damage the hair and the environment enormously. Cultivators herbal color is available in 20 different shades, and it is possible to get in almost all colors. However, you cant dye your hair blond if you haven’t already got blond hair. What you should pay attention to when coloring your hair with Cultivators is to make sure your hair is clean and try a small amount the first time you color to really see what shade you get. Actually, no difference from the usual conventional hair colors you buy in the store. Cultivators are much, much more gentle and not harmful at all. Good luck with your hair. I was very pleased!
