In the jar!

A greenie anyone? In the jar: 1 frozen banana, 1 black apple, a large handful fresh spinach, 1 tbsp toasted almond butter, 1 tsp maca powder, 1 pinch himalaya pink salt, 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar and coconut mylk. Maca goes really well with nut butters AND with raw cacao, but I didn’t do any cacao in this one. I wanted to keep it green.  Cheers and happy saturday!

Produce from Hello Harvest and super foods from Great Earth.

It’s a great earth!

“Take good care of your body! The more you nourish it, the greater the chances for a long and healthy life”.

That’s Great Earth’s philosophy.  I’m a big fan of Great Earth and I use lots of their super foods in my smoothies. I like that they have a long history and that they are a couple of hard working and driven guys behind it. Lately I’ve been baking away with their wonderful coconut oil and delicious cacao butter. By the way… cacao butter is absolutely fantastic to make homemade chocolate with. I tried it last week and I’m sold. It’s so easy and I love eating chocolate that is made with raw organic ingredients.

Great Earth has been around for 25 years and was founded by Bernie Bubman; and, he also the man behind the health concept Earthbar… a juicebar in West Hollywood and Equinox. Thankfully, Great Earth has found it’s way to Sweden and is currently one of Sweden’s leading health food providers. Here is Mr. Bubman outside Earthbar (who serves the largest acai bowls in town)

Health Food visionaries: Mattias from Great Earth Scandinavia and Bernie. Hello!

You should pop into their concept store on Birger Jarlsgatan 18 in Stockholm for a hot chocolate almond milk…so nice on chilly days. It’s delicious AND nutritious – these do go hand in hand, you know. 🙂
