Farmers finest

I love bringing friends from Sweden to the farmers market here in L.A. Today Marlene got to taste heirloom tomatoes for the first time. She had never seen one before. These juicy and sometimes funny looking tomatoes are the best ones (its not beef tomatoes). Heirloom is seeds that have been saved and passed down from generation to generation. I love the tomato season here and I love that the farmers market offers all these things as well. Raw honey, homemade almond butters and look at all those mushrooms. This German guy had any mushroom you can think of today, picked somewhere in the woods along the northern Cali coast.

Go nuts

Is there anything better than water straight from a young green coconut? I don’t think so. It’s both nourishing and filling, slightly sweet, nutrition packed and just perfect.
