The sunset in Santa Barbara was not too shabby yesterday. And add 80 degrees on top of that… at 7 pm. Santa Barbara IS the prettiest town along the coast. I swear! I have to get up there often to get my fix. If you ever go there, you will understand why.
Reds!
Hendry’s beach
We threw the cutie pie in the Fido Wash after the beach.
This smoothies is like a meal – very filling and I’m still working my way threw it. 🙂 For 2 glasses i used about 2 tbsp crunchy almond butter, 6 brazil nuts, 1 tsp lucuma, 2 tsp maca, 3 tsp raw cacao, 2 cups frozen pineapple, 1 small banana and almond milk. And then I threw some crushed brazil nuts on top together with some extra almond butter. Cheers!
We went up north today to a cute little village in between Carpinteria and Santa Barbara. We just wanted to get up in the canyon above for a little bit and then have lunch and go for a swim. The beach in Summerland is pretty and the canyon absolutely beautiful but way to hot for even the shortest hike today.
We ended up at Cafe Luna for lunch – a casual and relaxing spot right there on the road (there is only one, sort of). They actually grow their greens in the tower garden right outside. What a great thing. You can grow so much this way. Check out Montecito Urban Farms and put a farmers’s market on your back porch. 🙂
I think it’s a fantastic way to grow food vertical like this.
I had quinoa tabbouleh with mixed greens from the towers and homemade hummus. It was really tasty.
