I’v been curious about this place for a while now and today I stopped by to check it out. Life Food Organic is a relatively new spot in Venice – or actually in Santa Monica on Pico Blvd.  Do we need another Juice/smoothie and raw food place in Venice/Santa Monica? My answer is YES, of course we do.  I welcome them all… the more the merrier. 🙂

The early mornings and evenings are incredible here right now. Too hot during the day though… but being able to sit outside around midnight without being cold is rare down by the beach. It usually cools off after sunset. It’s l exactly how it was in Sweden in August. So I’m soaking it all in while I can. Early beach walks with headstands and breathings is what I’m up to in the mornings. 

This heat makes it perfect to roll the hair up in a tie, all covered in coconut oil. A great DYI hair treatment you can do at home. I put a few oil in the palm of my hand and let it melt. I start from the ends and work my way up to the roots and then i do a good 4 minute scalp massage and make sure everything is covered. It’s going to get greasy but that’s good, we want greasy. When the hair is covered in oil i roll it up in a tie and just let it sit… for hours. My hair likes overnight treatments but a few hours works wonders too. Then I wash it out as usual. I love it, it helps my hair retain it’s natural moisture and to keep it stronger (from braking all the time after using a no no hairstylist). Yes,  I’v learned my lesson.
